Karate Kid (Remake 2010) Critic, 07/23/10 Despite all negative critics previously expressed Karate Kid was littered with humor, sensitivity, action and seriousness. Occasionally, wonderfully designed dialogues made me laugh out loud. Jaden Smith (Dre Parker) did a good job indeed, embodying somewhat the casual and cool type of person, akin to his father Will in his early career years. Meanwhle demonstrates his broadly-based acting competence the former Kung-Fu champion Mr. Han that lost his family in a self-induced car accident. The remake, incidentallly produced by Jaden Smith´s parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, relocated the plot to China and in addition deals with Kong-Fu instead of Karate what however ain´t change much. Even thogh the plot could have been arranged in less than two and a half hours, the movie is well-done and recommendable.
